Work Permit France
Summary: Describes the types of work permits that France offers to digital nomad employees in France.
1.) French Skills and Talents Permit for Expats
In an effort to expand its number of skilled professionals, France has introduced the Compétences et Talents Residency Card. What is so great about this option is that the family of an individual who is granted this card can also work in France. In the past this has been an impediment for many potential expatriates. It is simply quite difficult for a a career-oriented spouse to put the work life on hold to enable their spouse to accept an expatriate assignment.
2.) Employee on Assignment Permit for Expats
If you have worked for a company based outside of France for no less than 3 months and you are hired on an interim basis by a company within your current employer's group of companies, or "seconded" to one of your company's divisions in France.
3.) Employee on Assignment card for Senior Managers or High-Level Executives
Expats that are hired by French company, have a "very responsible role" and/or their monthly income is equal to or exceeds 5,000 euros receive a 3-year residence permit.
4.) Scientific Permit for Expats- Those with at least a master's degree and can verify your researcher status, a hosting agreement (convention d'accueil) from a university, research facility or other qualifying agency that has been endorsed by the French consulate in your country of origin.
5.) Salaried and Temporary Worker Residence Permit for Expats - This permit enables you to gain residence in France, thus enabling you to secure clearly defined professions.
6.) Seasonal Worker Permits - You can work for no more than six months out of the year with this permit. It issued for a three-year period and can be renewed.
