Digital Nomad Life in California

By Betsy Burlingame

Summary: California is a popular destination for digital nomads. The most popular cities for digital nomads in California are San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Santa Cruz. Digital nomads like living in California because of its mild climate, diverse culture, and abundance of outdoor activities. A digital nomad can live on a monthly budget of around $2,000 to $3,000 in California. This budget should cover rent, food, transportation, and other expenses. The culture of California is very diverse and vibrant. There is a mix of cultures from all over the world, and the state is known for its laid-back attitude and progressive values. California is also home to some of the most innovative companies in the world, making it an attractive destination for digital nomads.

What are healthcare services like in California?

When we asked expats and global nomads about the quality of medical care in California, they replied:

"California offers a wide range of healthcare services, from primary care to specialized treatments. The state is home to some of the best hospitals and medical facilities in the country, including the University of California San Francisco Medical Center, Stanford Health Care, and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. These hospitals offer a variety of services, from emergency care to advanced treatments for cancer, heart disease, and other serious illnesses. In addition, California has a large network of community health centers that provide primary care and preventive services to underserved populations. These centers are located throughout the state, with many located in rural and underserved areas," said one digital nomad in California.

What are the pros and cons of living in California?

"People generally enjoy living in California due to its mild climate, diverse culture, and abundance of outdoor activities. The state is also known for its vibrant cities, beautiful beaches, and world-class entertainment. On the other hand, some people may find the cost of living in California to be too high, and the traffic can be a major issue in some areas," said one member in California.
