What are healthcare services like in Hawaii?

When we asked expats and global nomads about the quality of medical care in Hawaii, they replied:

"Hawaii offers a wide range of healthcare services, including preventive care, primary care, specialty care, and emergency services. The state is home to a number of hospitals and medical facilities, including the Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu, the Maui Memorial Medical Center in Wailuku, and the Kona Community Hospital in Kailua-Kona. These hospitals provide comprehensive care, including inpatient and outpatient services, as well as specialty care in areas such as cardiology, oncology, and neurology. In addition, Hawaii has a number of community health centers that provide primary care services to underserved populations. These centers offer a range of services, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and mental health services," explained one expat living in Hawaii.

What are the pros and cons of living in Hawaii?

"People generally enjoy living in Hawaii for its beautiful beaches, warm climate, and lush tropical landscape. The laid-back lifestyle and friendly locals are also a plus. On the other hand, the cost of living in Hawaii is quite high, and the traffic can be quite congested. Additionally, the isolation of the islands can make it difficult to access certain goods and services," explained one person living in Hawaii.
