"Expats in Antigua & Barbuda often join clubs and activities such as sailing, golf, tennis, and beach volleyball. Expats can also join local book clubs, art classes, and language classes. Additionally, expats can meet people by attending local events such as festivals, concerts, and farmers markets. Expats can also meet people by attending church services, joining a gym, or volunteering with a local charity," remarked one foreigner who made the move to Antigua & Barbuda.

"Being friendly, first and foremost, interaction with the locals, being creative and resourceful. Getting out - whenever you're invited out, accept it. The beach is good, live music events, lots are free events. Come outside yourself, create programs for the youth, don't be afraid to ask for sponsorship," explained one person living in St Johns, Antigua & Barbuda.

What is life like in Antigua & Barbuda?

When we asked people living in Antigua & Barbuda what life is like and how people spend their time, they said:

"Everybody is trying to make a living. Grow food if you can, or at least know someone who does! Work is vitally important, even a day work is important, unlike America. A day work is also respected! You have to get with Cricket and u have to get with Futbol (soccer). If you don't get to know the people in your village, you are doing yourself a disservice," said one expat in St Johns.

"Life for expats and digital nomads in Antigua & Barbuda is generally quite pleasant. The country is known for its beautiful beaches, warm climate, and friendly locals. Expats and digital nomads can enjoy a relaxed lifestyle, with plenty of opportunities to explore the islands' culture and history.
