"One of the best ways to find a place to live in Belarus is to use online resources such as websites and classifieds. Websites such as Expat.by and Belarus.by offer listings of apartments and houses for rent in Belarus. Additionally, classifieds such as Craigslist and Gumtree can be used to find rental properties in Belarus. Additionally, it is possible to find rental properties through local real estate agents. It is also possible to find rental properties through word of mouth, by asking friends and family who may know of available properties," explained one person living in Belarus.

What do I need to know before moving to Belarus?

Additionally, expats should be aware that the official language is Belarusian, so it is important to learn the language or at least some basic phrases. Expats should also be aware that the cost of living in Belarus is relatively low, so it is possible to live comfortably on a modest budget. Finally, expats should be aware that the healthcare system in Belarus is generally of a good standard, but it is important to have adequate health insurance coverage," said one person in Belarus.

Additionally, the lack of English-speaking locals can make it difficult to navigate everyday life. Expats may also find the cultural norms and expectations to be quite different from what they are used to, which can be difficult to adjust to. Furthermore, the lack of a vibrant expat community can make it difficult to find a sense of belonging in the local culture," said one expat in Belarus.

It is important to be respectful of local customs and traditions, and to avoid making any offensive or inappropriate comments. It is also important to dress modestly and to avoid public displays of affection. It is also important to be aware of the local language and to avoid speaking English in public, as this may be seen as disrespectful. Additionally, it is important to be aware of the local etiquette when it comes to dining, and to avoid eating or drinking in public places. Finally, it is important to be aware of the local laws and to avoid engaging in any activities that may be considered illegal," remarked one foreigner who made the move to Belarus.

"Healthcare services in Belarus are provided by both public and private institutions. The public healthcare system is funded by the government and is available to all citizens and foreign residents.
