What are the most challenging aspects of retiring in Peru?

"One of the most challenging aspects of retiring in Peru is the language barrier. Although Spanish is the official language, many people in Peru also speak Quechua and Aymara, two indigenous languages. Additionally, the cost of living in Peru can be high, especially in the larger cities. Healthcare can also be a challenge, as the quality of care varies greatly from region to region. Finally, the infrastructure in Peru is not as developed as in other countries, making it difficult to access certain services and amenities," explained one retiree living in Peru.
