"Foreigners are not allowed to own property in Algeria. According to the Algerian Civil Code, only Algerian citizens are allowed to own real estate in the country. Foreigners may lease property in Algeria, but they are not allowed to own it. Additionally, foreign companies are not allowed to own land in Algeria, but they may lease it for up to 99 years," said one foreigner living in Algeria.

"Rental properties in Algeria typically include a refrigerator, a washing machine, and a stove. Additional features may include air conditioning, a clothes dryer, or access to a swimming pool. Depending on the size of the rental property, extra amenities, such as a dishwasher or microwave, may be included as well," explained one expat in Algeria.
