Having health insurance is also necessary, and expats should be aware that public healthcare is subsidized by the French government. If you are thinking about moving to Montry, cost of living in probably a key consideration. Expats commented about the cost of housing:

If you have not spent a lot of time in Montry, you should rent before even thinking about buying. We asked expats there about the buy vs. rent decision:

When you buy a home, you have the potential to build equity, own the property outright and have the freedom to make changes to the home as you please. While renting can be a more affordable option in the short term, you won't be building any long-term equity or personalizing the space. Additionally, if the landlord decides to increase the rent or sell the property, your living arrangements can be disrupted. Therefore, it could be a good option to buy a home in Montry, France rather than rent," remarked one expat in Montry, France, France.

Layer up in the winter with sweaters, coats and scarves. For the summer, you'll need light clothing such as dresses, shorts and sandals. A raincoat and umbrella will also come in handy for wetter days. For those who love to explore the outdoors, be sure to bring items like a sturdy pair of hiking boots and a hat to protect against the sun. Finally, don't forget items to create a home away from home, like cutlery and other kitchenware, and lamps and linens for a cozy atmosphere," remarked one expat who made the move to Montry, France.
