"One way to find a place to live in Suwon is to search online for rental listings. Websites such as Goshiwon, Naver, and Daum are popular resources for finding rental listings in Suwon. Additionally, you can search for rental listings on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. You can also contact local real estate agents who specialize in rental properties in Suwon. Finally, you can ask friends and family who live in Suwon for recommendations," remarked one expat who made the move to Suwon.

What is the average cost of housing in Suwon?

If you are thinking about moving to Suwon, cost of living in probably a key consideration. Expats commented about the cost of housing:

"The cost of housing in Suwon varies depending on the size and location of the property. Generally, the average cost of a one-bedroom apartment in Suwon is around 500,000 won per month, while a two-bedroom apartment can cost up to 800,000 won per month. "Buying a home in Suwon can be a great investment, as the city is growing rapidly and property values are increasing. However, it is important to consider the cost of living in the area, as well as the availability of rental properties. Renting a home in Suwon can be a great option for those who are not ready to commit to a long-term purchase, as it allows for more flexibility and can be more cost-effective in the short-term. Ultimately, the decision to buy or rent a home in Suwon should be based on individual needs and preferences," replied a member in Suwon.

What should I pack when moving to Suwon?

We asked people living in Suwon to list three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They responded:

"When moving to Suwon, it is important to pack clothing suitable for the climate. Suwon has hot, humid summers and cold, dry winters, so it is important to bring clothing that can be layered. Additionally, it is important to bring any necessary medications, as well as any important documents such as passports and visas. It is also a good idea to bring a few items from home to make the transition easier, such as photos, books, and other small items. Finally, it is important to bring any necessary electronics, such as a laptop, phone, and charger," said one expat in Suwon.
