What are the pros and cons of living in Praia da Pipa?
"Expats and digital nomads generally like living in Praia da Pipa, for its beautiful beaches, warm climate, and laid-back atmosphere. They appreciate the vibrant nightlife, diverse culinary scene, and the friendly, welcoming locals. The relatively low cost of living is also a significant draw for many expats and digital nomads. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy the various activities available, such as surfing, kiteboarding, and hiking in the surrounding areas. The natural beauty of the region, including the nearby cliffs and rainforests, is another attractive feature for those living in Praia da Pipa. However, there are some aspects that expats and digital nomads may dislike about living in Praia da Pipa. The limited public transportation options can make it challenging to get around, especially for those without a car. Additionally, the small-town nature of Praia da Pipa may not offer the same level of amenities and services as larger cities, which could be a drawback for some. Another potential issue is the inconsistent internet connectivity, which can be a significant concern for digital nomads who rely on a stable connection for work. Finally, the language barrier may be a challenge for those who do not speak Portuguese, as English is not widely spoken in the area," said one member in Praia da Pipa.
"I've lived in Sao Paulo for 5 years and now here in Praia da Pipa for 5 more years. We are very happy with Pipa as it is safe, has great people living here and has an excellent infrastructure. I have fiber optics internet with 300 mbps download and there are 3 competing companies located within this service area. The exchange is currently R$1.00 = $5.35 USD so our money goes a long way. Natal is located 1 hour drive from our house and we chose to purchase a car. So we can go to Natal, a metro city of 1.3 million people.........so if we can't find what we are looking for here in Pipa we can drive to Natal for better quality groceries, medical care, etc," explained one expat in Praia da Pipa.
