"Expats in Hyderabad often join clubs and activities such as the Hyderabad Expat Club, which organizes events and activities for expats to meet and socialize. Other popular activities for expats include joining sports teams, attending language classes, and exploring the city's cultural attractions. Expats can also meet people by attending local events such as festivals, concerts, and art exhibitions. Additionally, many expats find it helpful to join online forums and social media groups to connect with other expats living in Hyderabad," remarked one foreigner who made the move to Hyderabad.

What is life like in Hyderabad?

When we asked people living in Hyderabad what life is like and how people spend their time, they said:

"Basically, in India, daily life revolves around five quadrant i.e family, work, religion, self and socializing. But for the past few years the younger generation are more focused on work and being financially secured, unlike the older generation who had a higher level of contentment," remarked one member in Hyderabad.

"One of the best ways to find a place to live in Hyderabad is to use online rental websites such as MagicBricks, 99acres, and Housing.com. These websites allow you to search for rental properties in Hyderabad based on your budget, location, and other preferences. Additionally, you can also use online classifieds such as OLX and Quikr to find rental properties in Hyderabad. You can also contact local real estate agents who can help you find a suitable place to live in Hyderabad. Lastly, you can also ask your friends and family for recommendations on rental properties in Hyderabad," explained one expat living in Hyderabad, India.

What do I need to know before moving to Hyderabad?

When we asked people what advice they would give someone preparing to move to Hyderabad, they said:

"He can consider moving into the city, but I would advise him to stay in a place at least 20 km away. The city centre is highly polluted and traffic is CRAZY. For a comfortable living a couple has to earn a minimum of Rs 25 000," said one person in Hyderabad.

It is also important to dress modestly, as revealing clothing is considered inappropriate. Additionally, it is important to respect religious customs, such as removing your shoes before entering a temple or mosque.
