"Expat homes and apartments in Panadura are typically modern and spacious, with air conditioning, tiled floors, and plenty of natural light. People living in Panadura were asked what three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They wrote:

"When moving to Panadura, it is important to pack items that will help you adjust to the climate and culture. Pack lightweight, breathable clothing that is appropriate for the hot and humid climate. What are the schools in Panadura like?

"This school seems to give all students some sense of local culture and the society, compared to many international schools in the country. We have done a good survey of all schools in this area before we get our ones enrolled. We were not very impressed with many other schools as they send students mad with unnecessarily heavy work load. They seem to have the understanding that more work will enable to make better products, which is a myth. But I know some local parents appreciate that approach, which is sad from the child's perspective," commented one expat when asked about Leeds International School in Panadura.

"The best international school in Panadura is the Gateway International School. It is a private school that offers a comprehensive education from pre-school to A-Levels. The school has a strong focus on academic excellence and provides a wide range of extra-curricular activities.
