What do I need to know before moving to Arabian Ranches?

When we asked people what advice they would give someone preparing to move to Arabian Ranches, they said:

"Arabian Ranches, located in Dubai, UAE, is a popular residential area for expats due to its luxurious lifestyle and high-quality amenities. Before moving to Arabian Ranches, expats should be aware of several important factors. Firstly, the cost of living in Arabian Ranches is relatively high, with rent for villas and townhouses being quite expensive. However, the quality of housing is exceptional, with most homes being spacious and well-maintained. The community is family-friendly, with several international schools, nurseries, and parks available for children. It's also pet-friendly, which is a rarity in Dubai. Arabian Ranches is a bit far from the city center, so having a car is almost a necessity. Public transportation is not as readily available, and taxis can be expensive for daily commuting. The community is predominantly English-speaking, making it easier for expats from English-speaking countries to settle in. However, learning some basic Arabic phrases can be beneficial. The area is known for its safety and security, with 24/7 security and gated communities. However, it's important to respect the local laws and customs, as the UAE has strict rules regarding behavior and dress code. The climate in the UAE is extremely hot, especially in the summer months. Homes in Arabian Ranches are equipped with air conditioning, but it's important to stay hydrated and avoid spending too much time outdoors during peak heat hours. Lastly, Arabian Ranches offers a variety of recreational activities, including golf courses, polo fields, and equestrian clubs. There are also several shopping centers, restaurants, and healthcare facilities within the community," commented one expat who made the move to Arabian Ranches.

How do I find a place to live in Arabian Ranches?

We asked expats how they chose their neighborhood and found a place to live. They answered:

"Finding a place to live in Arabian Ranches, involves several steps. First, you need to determine your budget and the type of property you're interested in. Arabian Ranches offers a variety of options, from apartments to villas, so you should have a clear idea of what you're looking for. Next, you should research the area. Arabian Ranches is a large residential community located on the outskirts of Dubai, so you should familiarize yourself with the amenities, schools, and transportation options in the area. Once you have a clear idea of what you're looking for, you can start your property search. There are several online real estate portals that list properties for rent or sale in Arabian Ranches, such as Bayut, Property Finder, and Dubizzle. These websites allow you to filter properties by type, price, and location, making it easier to find properties that match your criteria. You can also hire a real estate agent to help you with your search. A local agent will have in-depth knowledge of the Arabian Ranches market and can help you find properties that may not be listed online. They can also assist you with the negotiation and purchase process. Once you've found a property you're interested in, you should arrange a viewing. This will give you a chance to inspect the property in person and ask any questions you may have. If you decide to proceed with the property, you'll need to negotiate the terms of the lease or purchase agreement. This will include the price, the length of the lease (if renting), and any other conditions. Finally, once the agreement is signed, you'll need to arrange for the transfer of utilities and move into your new home in Arabian Ranches," said one expat who made the move to Arabian Ranches.

"A typical expat home in Arabian Ranches, is a luxurious and spacious villa or apartment, often with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. Many homes also have amenities like private swimming pools, maid's rooms, and dedicated parking spaces. The community itself is known for its lush landscapes, golf courses, and polo fields, as well as its high-end shopping and dining options. Safety is a priority in Arabian Ranches, with 24-hour security and gated access to ensure the privacy and peace of mind of residents. One option is the retirement visa, which is renewable every five years, but there are specific financial requirements to meet. Finally, expats should know that while the UAE is tax-free, their home country may still tax them on their worldwide income, so they should seek advice on this matter," said one expat who made the move to Arabian Ranches.
