What are the visa & residency requirements in Austin?

"In order to obtain a visa to live in Austin, an individual must first apply for a nonimmigrant visa through the U.S. Department of State. This process involves submitting an application, providing supporting documents, and attending an interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Once the visa is approved, the individual can travel to the United States and begin the process of applying for residency. To apply for residency, the individual must submit an application to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and provide supporting documents. The application will be reviewed and, if approved, the individual will be granted a green card, which will allow them to live and work in the United States," remarked one expat living in Austin.
