The neighborhood is safe and clean, with well-maintained public spaces and amenities, which adds to the overall quality of life. Moreover, expats value the emphasis on education and the high standard of schools in Bishan. Lastly, the efficient public transportation system is another aspect of the local culture that expats appreciate. "Bishan, is generally considered a safe and secure neighborhood with a relatively low crime rate. The local authorities maintain a strong presence, which contributes to the overall safety of the area. While minor incidents may occur occasionally, as they do in any urban area, serious crimes are quite rare. The residents of Bishan enjoy a peaceful environment, and the community is known for its strong sense of security. The Singapore Police Force is efficient and responsive, further ensuring the safety of Bishan's residents," remarked one expat who made the move to Bishan.
