There is an abundance of leisure activities ranging from relaxing in the local parks with stunning views, to exploring the colorful food markets. Taking Spanish classes or dancing the night away in local cantinas also adds to the experience. Additionally, the cost of living is considerably lower than in other countries, allowing retirees to enjoy a higher standard of living on a limited budget," explained one retiree living in San Miguel de Allende.

What are healthcare services like in San Miguel de Allende?

We asked retirees if they have access to good medical care in San Miguel de Allende. They wrote:

"San Miguel de Allende offers a range of healthcare services. Medical centers in the city provide general medical care and many specialize in areas such as psychiatry, pediatrics, cardiology and gynecology. Expat residents can access well-equipped pharmacies that offer medicines and medical supplies. There are also Advanced Trauma Life Support certified doctors in the city. The two private hospitals in San Miguel de Allende offer modern facilities and technology, as well as 24-hour emergency services. In addition to these services, there are several smaller clinics and walk-in centers in the city that provide basic services for patients," said a person in San Miguel de Allende.

"Yes, in San Miguel and Queretero nearby we have excellent care and it’s reasonably priced," remarked one retiree in San Miguel de Allende .

How do I meet people in San Miguel de Allende?

When we asked people living in San Miguel de Allende about club and activities where newcomers can meet others, they responded:

"Expats in San Miguel de Allende often join clubs and activities to meet and socialize with like-minded people.
