Additionally, foreign buyers must also be aware of the local laws and regulations that apply to real estate transactions in the District of Columbia," explained one person living in Washington DC, the United States.

What appliances are typically included in a rental?

We asked foreigners in Washington DC what appliances are typically included in a rental, and, if there is anything else included or not included that a newcomer would not expect. Replies included:

"In Washington DC, rental properties typically include a refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, and washer and dryer. Other appliances such as microwaves, garbage disposals, and air conditioners may also be included depending on the property," said one foreigner living in Washington DC, the United States.
