"Yes, foreigners are allowed to own property in Burgas. However, there are certain restrictions for non-EU citizens when it comes to owning land. Non-EU citizens can purchase and own buildings, apartments, and other types of property without any issues, but they cannot directly own agricultural land or forests. To bypass this restriction, non-EU citizens can set up a Bulgarian company and purchase the land through the company. EU citizens, on the other hand, can own both property and land without any restrictions," said one expat in Burgas.

We asked foreigners in Burgas what appliances are typically included in a rental, and, if there is anything else included or not included that a newcomer would not expect. Replies included:

"In Burgas, rental properties typically include a refrigerator, stove, oven, and washing machine. Other common appliances may include a dishwasher, microwave, and air conditioning unit.
