"When buying property in Nicosia, it is important to research the area and the property thoroughly. Make sure to check the zoning regulations and any restrictions that may apply to the property. It is also important to understand the local tax laws and any other fees associated with the purchase. It is also important to hire a qualified lawyer to help with the legal aspects of the purchase. It is also important to note that property ownership in Cyprus may be subject to taxes and fees, such as transfer fees, stamp duty, and annual property taxes," said one person in Nicosia.

We asked foreigners in Nicosia what appliances are typically included in a rental, and, if there is anything else included or not included that a newcomer would not expect. Replies included:

"In a rental property in Nicosia, tenants can typically expect to find a refrigerator, stove, oven, washing machine, and air conditioning unit. Additionally, some properties may also include a dishwasher, microwave, and other small appliances," explained one foreigner living in Nicosia, Cyprus.
