Despite these challenges, many foreigners have successfully purchased property in Abidjan and other parts of the country," wrote one expat who made the move to Abidjan.

Furnished or semi-furnished rentals may include items such as beds, dressers, armchairs, tables and other pieces of furniture. Air conditioning is also a common amenity in rental homes in the area. Décor pieces, such as curtains, rugs, and artwork, may be included depending on the specific property," explained one person living in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
