We asked expats and digital nomads what they appreciate the most about the local culture in Abidjan. They wrote...

"Expats in Abidjan appreciate the city's vibrant culture, which is a mix of traditional African and modern French influences. They also enjoy the city's friendly people, who are known for their hospitality and welcoming attitude. The city's diverse cuisine is another highlight, with a variety of dishes from all over the world. Expats also appreciate the city's vibrant nightlife, with plenty of bars, clubs, and restaurants to explore. Finally, Abidjan's stunning natural beauty, with its lush rainforests and stunning beaches, is a major draw for expats," commented one expat who made the move to Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

"most people turn out to be helpful, very friendly and very open with their opinions. it's a vivid and colourful culture. i like that there is city life (where you can almost live up to western standards) but also still very traditional ways of living in the villages. it`s interesting to get to know all the problems they have to develop and how much everything changed after the crisis," remarked another expat in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
