"Living in Guadalajara can be substantially more affordable than living in the United States. Purchasing basic necessities like food, household items, and clothing can cost far less in Mexico than in the US. Additionally, utilities like water and electricity are typically much lower-cost in Mexico than what is offered in the US. Housing in Guadalajara is significantly cheaper as well, providing much lower rents and/or mortgages than what is typical in the US. By living in Guadalajara, Mexico it is likely an individual or family could save a great deal of money when compared to living in the United States," commented one expat who made the move to Guadalajara, Mexico.
