The local public hospital, Hospital General de Patzcuaro “Dr. Erasto Dominguez”, offers general care, emergency rooms, and outpatient services, as well as a specialty in mental health treatment. Several private hospitals offer specialized care, such as the Medical Center Quetzal, the Clinic San Lucas, and the Patzcuaro Kidney Institute. Additionally, there are many private clinics offering general practice and specialty care, including Centro de Atención Integral en Pediatría (CAIP), Proyecto Médico Tulín, Planned Parenthood, and Centro de Servicios de Patología Clinica y Anatomía Patológica.
