"Healthcare services in Coronado, are generally considered to be of good quality, especially for the region. Coronado has a range of medical facilities including clinics and hospitals that cater to both locals and the expatriate community. The town has attracted a number of retirees, which has influenced the availability of healthcare services geared towards senior care and chronic disease management. Private healthcare is predominant, with facilities equipped with modern medical technology and staffed by skilled healthcare professionals, including specialists who are often bilingual, speaking both Spanish and English. Many of the doctors and medical staff in Coronado have trained internationally, which helps in providing a standard of care that is familiar to North American expatriates. Pharmacies in Coronado are well-stocked and can provide many of the medications that are available in North America, often without the need for a prescription. For more complex medical issues or specialized treatments, residents may travel to Panama City, which is about an hour's drive away and offers a wider range of medical services and facilities with advanced capabilities. Overall, Coronado's healthcare services are convenient for routine medical care and emergencies, with the added benefit of being in a location known for its pleasant climate and scenic surroundings, which can be conducive to recovery and overall well-being," commented one expat who made the move to Coronado, Panama.
