Is there a lot of crime in Vilcabamba?
We asked people if there is a lot of crime. They answered...
"Vilcabamba is generally considered a safe and peaceful town. However, like any place, it is not completely free from crime. Petty crimes such as pickpocketing or bag snatching can occur, particularly in crowded areas. There have also been occasional reports of more serious crimes such as home invasions and assaults. It's important for residents and visitors to take standard safety precautions, such as not displaying valuable items in public and ensuring homes are securely locked. Despite these issues, the overall crime rate in Vilcabamba is relatively low compared to larger cities in Ecuador," said a member in Vilcabamba, Ecuador.
