Primary and secondary education in the city is provided at government-run schools, and there are also several private, religious, and international schools. The schools in Port of Spain provide a wide range of educational opportunities, including mathematics, science, language, social studies, and fine arts. Additionally, many schools in Port of Spain offer extracurricular activities such as sports, music, drama, and the visual arts. For higher education, the University of the West Indies has a campus in Port of Spain," said one expat in Port of Spain with children at .
