What should I pack when moving to Villavicencio?

Answer this Question

We asked people living in Villavicencio to list three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They responded...

"When moving to Villavicencio, it is important to pack items that will help you adjust to the climate and culture. Pack comfortable, lightweight clothing that is suitable for the hot and humid climate. Bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun. Bring a raincoat and umbrella to protect yourself from the frequent rain showers. Bring a few items of clothing that are appropriate for more formal occasions, such as a dinner or a business meeting. Additionally, pack any necessary medications, toiletries, and other personal items. Finally, make sure to bring a good supply of insect repellent to protect yourself from mosquitoes," remarked another expat in Villavicencio, Colombia.
