"When moving to Playa del Carmen, it's important to be sure to pack light, comfortable clothing suitable for hot weather and beach wear like sandals, shorts, and tank tops. Don't forget to bring items such as a small umbrella, swimsuit, and hats to protect yourself from the sun and beach umbrellas or beach chairs if you plan to spend lots of time at the beach. Be sure to also bring some basic toiletries, medications, and other items to take care of your health such as sunscreen and insect repellent. Also pack a flashlight and small First-Aid kit in case of an emergency. It is also important to pack all important documents such as your passport and visas to ensure a hassle-free move," explained one expat living in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
