Public healthcare in Ukraine is generally considered to be underfunded and understaffed, which can lead to long waiting times and limited access to specialized care. Additionally, the facilities and equipment in public hospitals may be outdated, and the standard of care may not be on par with what you are used to in your home country. Many foreigners living in Ukraine opt for private healthcare, which offers better quality services and facilities, but at a higher cost. It is recommended to have comprehensive health insurance to cover any medical expenses you may incur while living in Kharkov," commented one expat who made the move to Kharkov, Ukraine.
