As a foreigner living in Mumbai, will I have access to public healthcare? What is it like?

Answer this Question

We asked expats in Mumbai if they have access to public healthcare in Mumbai. And, if they do have access, what is it like. They wrote...

"Yes, as a foreigner living in Mumbai, you will have access to public healthcare. The quality of care varies depending on the hospital, but generally the public healthcare system in India is known to be of a lower quality than private healthcare. However, the public healthcare system is still able to provide basic medical care and treatment for a variety of illnesses and injuries. Additionally, the cost of public healthcare is much lower than private healthcare, making it a more affordable option for those living in Mumbai," remarked another expat in Mumbai, India.
