As a foreigner living in Malacca, will I have access to public healthcare? What is it like?
We asked expats in Malacca if they have access to public healthcare in Malacca. And, if they do have access, what is it like. They wrote...
"As a foreigner living in Malacca, you will have access to public healthcare, but it may not be free or as comprehensive as the healthcare provided to Malaysian citizens. Public healthcare in Malaysia is generally of good quality, with well-equipped hospitals and qualified medical professionals. However, you may experience longer waiting times and language barriers in public hospitals compared to private healthcare facilities. It is recommended for foreigners to have private health insurance to ensure access to a wider range of healthcare services and faster treatment," explained one expat living in Malacca, Malaysia.
