Additionally, they may join sports clubs, fitness classes, or volunteer organizations to meet new people and stay active. Dining out at local restaurants, cafes, and bars is another popular way for expats to socialize and experience the city's culinary scene. Overall, the social life of expats in Kiev is a mix of engaging with the local community, exploring the city's rich culture, and building connections with people from diverse backgrounds," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Kiev, Ukraine.
"People here definitely like to drink alcohol. You can sit on a bench in a park and having a few shots or a bottle of beer to yourself and also offer it to a passer by using your own judgement and then simply hang with them. Of course you got to be careful. Also the majority of the country does not speak English, maybe young generation, but primitive though," commented one expat who made the move to Kiev, Ukraine.
