Depending on the type of visa, additional documents may be required. In order to obtain residency in Quito, Ecuador, applicants must submit an application form, provide a valid passport, and pay the applicable fee. Additionally, applicants must provide proof of financial stability, a criminal background check, and a medical certificate. Once the application is approved, applicants must attend an interview with the Ecuadorian consulate in their home country. After the interview, applicants will receive a residency card, which must be renewed every two years," remarked another expat who made the move to Quito, Ecuador.
