Applying for residency in Manzanillo is a more complex process and requires applicants to meet a certain set of requirements. At least three months prior to the application for residency, applicants must apply for a Temporary Resident Visa, which will include an interview at the Mexican consulate. After being approved for the Temporary Resident Visa, applicants must apply for a registration with Mexico's General Directorate of Migration (Dgire).
