We asked expats and digital nomads what they find the most challenging about the local culture in Algeria. They wrote...

"Being the only one from my country here. Getting people to understand my meaning behind my words. Finding someone that thinks like I do," remarked another expat in Blida, Algeria.

"Expats in Algeria often find the local culture to be quite different from their own, which can be challenging to adjust to. Language barriers can be a challenge, as many locals do not speak English. Additionally, the local customs and traditions can be difficult to understand and navigate. Expats may also find the local cuisine to be quite different from what they are used to, which can be a challenge to adjust to. Finally, the climate in Algeria can be quite extreme, with hot summers and cold winters, which can be difficult to adjust to," said a member in Algeria.
