What is it like to retire in Nicaragua?
We asked retirees what it is like retiring in Nicaragua. They said...
"Life for retirees in Nicaragua and its surroundings has plenty to offer. There is a vibrant expat community, offering plenty of opportunity for socializing and cultural exchange. There is a wide variety of cultural attractions, from architectural wonders to the tropical beaches and rain forests. Plenty of outdoor activities are accessible, such as hiking, bird watching, spelunking, and snorkeling. When it comes to recreation, there is plenty to experience, whether it's eating out or attending festivals and events. Many expats also enjoy visiting the many vibrant markets and restaurants in modern cities like Managua, Granada, and San Juan del Sur. Nicaragua also features a lively nightlife with nightclubs, bars and music venues. Depending on the area, retirees in Nicaragua can experience the traditional drinks, dancing, and live music the country has to offer," explained one expat living in Nicaragua.
