What are healthcare services like in Myanmar?

Answer this Question

We asked retirees if they have access to good medical care in Myanmar. They wrote...

"Healthcare services in Myanmar are generally limited and of low quality. Access to healthcare is often difficult for many people, particularly those living in rural areas. The country has a shortage of qualified medical personnel, and the majority of healthcare facilities are poorly equipped and lack basic medical supplies. In addition, the cost of healthcare is often prohibitively expensive for many people, making it difficult for them to access the care they need. Despite these challenges, the government is making efforts to improve healthcare services in the country, including increasing access to healthcare and improving the quality of care," said another expat in Myanmar.
