What should I pack when moving to Martinique?
We asked people living in Martinique to list three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They responded...
"When moving to Martinique, it is important to pack clothing suitable for the tropical climate, such as light, breathable fabrics. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat are also essential for protection from the sun. Additionally, it is a good idea to bring a mosquito net and insect repellent to protect against mosquitoes and other insects. It is also important to bring any necessary medications, as well as any important documents. Finally, it is a good idea to bring a few items to make your new home feel more comfortable, such as pictures, books, and other personal items," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Martinique.
"I really wish I back up copy of my birth certificate, my favorite book, and my shot records... I really should have left my coat, my tablet, and my cowboy boots," commented one expat who made the move to Scholcher, Martinique.
