What should I pack when moving to New Zealand?
We asked people living in New Zealand to list three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They responded...
"When moving to New Zealand, it is important to pack items that will help you adjust to the climate and lifestyle. Bring clothing that is suitable for the cooler temperatures, such as sweaters, jackets, and long pants. Make sure to bring comfortable shoes for walking and exploring the outdoors. Don't forget to bring any necessary medications, as well as any important documents such as your passport and visa. It is also a good idea to bring a few items that will help you feel at home, such as photos, books, and music. Finally, make sure to bring any necessary electronics, such as a laptop or phone charger," explained one expat living in New Zealand.

One could say that you miss certain ethnic food from the USA...but then bring along a good cookbook and make it yourself from scratch. DO NOT, repeat DO NOT bring USA- electrical appliances," said another expat in Warkworth, New Zealand.
