When we asked people what advice they would give someone preparing to move to El Salvador, they said...

"Before moving to El Salvador, expats should be aware of the country's tropical climate and the potential for natural disasters such as earthquakes and hurricanes. It is also important to research the local culture and customs, as well as the language, to ensure a smooth transition. Expats should also be aware of the high levels of crime in El Salvador, and take necessary precautions to stay safe. Additionally, expats should research the cost of living in El Salvador, and make sure they have the necessary documents and visas to live and work in the country," explained one expat living in El Salvador.
