We asked expats in Malaysia if they have access to public healthcare in Malaysia. And, if they do have access, what is it like. They wrote...

"Yes, foreigners living in Malaysia have access to public healthcare. The public healthcare system in Malaysia is generally of a high quality and is affordable for most people. The government provides subsidies for medical treatments and medications, making it more accessible for those who cannot afford private healthcare. The public healthcare system is also well-equipped with modern medical technology and experienced medical professionals," said another expat in Malaysia.

"No need to enroll in public health system--show up at a hospital or clinic and ask for treatment. There are public hospitals, but private (more costly) respond faster with higher levels of service. Quality of health care is very good," wrote a member who made the move to Georgetown, Malaysia.
