"Foreigners are allowed to own property in Russia, but there are certain restrictions in place. Foreigners are not allowed to own land in Russia, but they can own buildings and other types of real estate. Foreigners must obtain a permit from the Federal Migration Service in order to purchase real estate in Russia. Additionally, foreigners must register their property with the local authorities in order to be able to use it," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Russia.
