How are local medical facilities in Martinique?
We asked members about local medical facilities in Martinique, they wrote...
"Hospitals can be a win lose situation depending on where you stay. The cost without insurance is high, but sometimes, they can find a way to work with you. Pharmacies aren't 24/7 some in some cases you may have to wait until morning to get your prescriptions. More doctors are student doctors rather than the more advanced ones. Yet, you find they have a lot of knowledge and are always happy to help," said another expat in Fort-de-France, Martinique.
"Martinique has a high quality of medical care and facilities. The island is home to several modern hospitals and clinics, staffed by experienced and qualified medical professionals. The island also has a number of specialized medical centers, offering a range of treatments and services. In addition, the island has a number of pharmacies, providing access to a wide range of medications. Overall, the quality of medical care and facilities in Martinique is excellent," wrote a member who made the move to Martinique.
