Is the cost of living in Scotland high?

Answer this Question

We asked people about the cost of living in Scotland, they wrote...

"The cost of living in Scotland is generally considered to be quite reasonable, with prices for goods and services being comparable to those in other parts of the UK. However, the cost of living in Scotland's larger cities, such as Edinburgh and Glasgow, is higher than in other parts of the country. The average rental price for a nice 1 bedroom apartment in Scotland is around $1,000 USD per month, while a nice 2 bedroom apartment can cost around $1,400 USD per month. Eating dinner at a moderately priced restaurant in Scotland can cost around $20 USD per person," remarked another expat who made the move to Scotland.
