Is the cost of living in Greece high?

Answer this Question

We asked people about the cost of living in Greece, they wrote...

"The cost of living in Greece is generally considered to be quite reasonable, with prices for basic goods and services being lower than in many other European countries. However, the cost of living in the larger cities such as Athens and Thessaloniki is higher than in the rest of the country. The rental price for a nice 1 bedroom apartment in Greece is typically around $500-600 USD per month, while a nice 2 bedroom apartment is usually around $700-800 USD per month. Eating dinner at a moderately priced restaurant in Greece typically costs around $15-20 USD per person," said a member in Greece.
